Lunchtime yesterday in a futile attempt to rouse myself from the shortened attention span and temper that deadlines and massive endorphin depletion cause I went and shouted abuse at the obviously able-bodied people parking in the disabled spaces at Tescos. Normally the look on her face when I shout "Nerrrrrrr SPACKER!" at some posh bitch climbing down from her RangeRover cheers me right up, but yesterday it barely raised a wan smile. I spent that cunt of a day sweating alcohol and coke metabolites out of my pores and my brain, whch hates me anyway really dug its heels in and wouldnt design a goddamn thing. It wouldn't be told; deadlines meant nothing to it. So I went to boxing and got whacked in the head just to teach it what happens to naughty brains. I almost puked/shit my pants from exertion and it was a big improvement on work.
My work usually finishes at about 5 and boxing doesnt start till 7 so I tend to kill the time sitting in the big coffee shop at the back of the local Borders outlet (a large bookstore) pretending to be nursing an empty coffee mug and reading comics or whatever. I always have the same discussion with myself- this is free entertainment, you dont need to spend a penny, just enjoy saving money for once instead of impulsively blowing it on whatever you want. Ok Ok, I say, and as usual exited the shop with a heavy bag under my arm, this week containing the excellent book the title of which I cant be bothered working into this sentence but is written above. This book is chocka-block with excellent work by many of the worlds top snappers- Terry Richardson, Robert Adler, Susan Egan, some clever, some shocking, all beautiful and beautifully presented. Next time my brain says "dont you dare waste our money on some purchase we dont need, there's bills to pay and the Alpine is broken again" Ill say "Shut your face you stupid bitch, think of all that awesome snatch." Hopefully in front of a woman climbing out of a RangeRover.
